VANESSA STERN
FOUNDER | MANAGING DIRECTOR
Vanessa Stern is the Founder and Managing Director of Glimmer Group, a boutique talent firm partnering with growing brands to build exceptional teams across Creative, Marketing, Technology, Human Resources, and Administrative functions. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy, experience, and human connection — bringing a thoughtful, high-touch approach to executive search, retained, and direct hire solutions.
A Los Angeles native, Vanessa’s creative roots were shaped early through her education at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and later at the University of Arizona, where she earned a BA in Media Arts with double minors in Art History and Graphic Design. That foundation continues to influence her approach to recruiting — balancing structure with intuition, and strategy with aesthetics.
Vanessa began her career in the luxury interior design world at the Pacific Design Center, working in sales and business development for high-end showrooms. As a natural connector, she pivoted to recruitment in 2009, working 10 years for Robert Half International managing and leading the top producing Creative & Marketing team in Los Angeles.
She later joined New York–based Solomon Page, where she helped expand West Coast operations, before moving in-house to Paramount+ on the Pluto TV technology strategy team. There, she played a key role in scaling engineering teams both domestically and internationally.
With more than 15 years of experience across agency and in-house environments, Vanessa returned to her staffing roots as Director of Customer Experience and Development at TalentoHC. In 2026 she founded Glimmer Group bringing together everything she’s learned in business and art — offering clients a refined, relationship-driven approach to talent that feels as considered as the brands they are building.
Vanessa lives in Brentwood with her husband and three children. She loves street tacos, In-N-Out, The Dodgers, fiercely creative people with good energy, Slim Aarons, driving PCH listening to music, and all things interior design.
